Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher Training

 Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher Training

At Nosara Yoga Institute, Costa Rica

Directed by Alana Greenberg

Due to the rise in distressing world events, trauma and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) have become international buzzwords. Growing evidence shows that the imprints of traumatic events remain lodged in the body and brain, and that somatic awareness practices are essential for complete trauma recovery. Modern findings in neuroscience support these notions and have paved the way for yoga and meditation to find their rightful place as bona fide adjunctive therapies in treating traumatic stress. Inspired by the wisdom teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and the triumphant story of Ganesha, this training helps reframe the negative effects of trauma from victimhood and suffering into an opportunity to yoke with ourselves.
